Upgrade from 6.12.65 to 10.13.66 hangs on boot

Recently updated a 6.12.65 system to 10.13.66.

On reboot after displaying the grub menu, it just hangs with a flashing cursor in the upper left corner.

Rebooting into the previous kernel works, but causes some other issues.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?

Anyone get this error:
PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function fetchAll() on boolean in /var/www/html/admin/modules/sysadmin/bin/check_portal.php on line 10

It doesnt seem to affect anything that I have noticed, but just would like to stop getting the emails.
I am using FreePBX 14.0.1.1.
I looked in that php file and it appears to be compiled. The only useful thing I can see is it is it is System Admin 14.0.7.5.

Anyone know how to fix the error?

Thanks!

Upgrade path from 10.13.66-20 32bit to SNG7 64bit

@arielgrin wrote:

Hi there: I've just seen that SNG7 Distro has become stable and FreePBX Distro 13 is already legacy.

Currently I'm running 10.13.66-20 32bit and I would really like to migrate to SNG7 64bit.

Is there any upgrade path planned for in-place upgrade?

I think I've read some time ago that a path from 10.13.66-20 might be possible but only if coming from 64bit. Is this still the case?

In case it is mandatory to start from 64bit, is it possible to go from 10.13.66-20 32bit to 10.13.66-20 64bit and then to SNG7? I've been searching on the forum how to go from 10.13.66-20 32bit to10.13.66-20 64bit but I'm not sure I was able to find a definitive guide to perform the move without any doubts.

hi, does anyone know what the minimum columns (data fields) are for both the did and extensions bulk handler imports? The help popdown lists the required/suggested columns but that is still leaves some guess work.
To be clear, i am not creating new extensions, i am making bulk changes to existing ones, so I don't want to run the risk of changing anything that I don't have to.

Internet going down takes Asterisk with it

@abcym15 wrote:

Hello,
I am aware that there is a known issue with Asterisk, in that it will stop working if the internet connection is unavailable and there is a requirement for DNS lookups. I have a system with FreePBX Distro 10.13.66-13 and am having some issues.

When the internet connection goes down, Asterisk stops responding entirely and even phones on the same LAN can't communicate with each other, or the server. If I disable my SIP trunks (so no lookups are taking place), the issue does not happen - so I am confident this is the same problem with DNS lookup.

From what I have read online, the solution to this in Distro is with dnsmasq. I have checked and this is installed. I made some changes to the dnsmasq settings yesterday as follows, following a search of other threads here.

System admin module -> DNS - Only server is 127.0.0.1

/etc/dnsmasq.conf:
server=8.8.8.8
server=8.8.4.4

/etc/resolv.conf:
nameserver 127.0.0.1

I have run dnsmasq --test and this shows 'Syntax check OK'. If I dig google.com:

; <> DiG 9.8.2rc1-RedHat-9.8.2-0.30.rc1.el6_6.3 <> google.com
;; global options: +cmd
;; Got answer:
;; ->>HEADER<<- opcode: QUERY, status: NOERROR, id: 57553

;; SERVER: 127.0.0.1#53(127.0.0.1)
;; WHEN: Fri Jul 7 09:24:26 2017
;; MSG SIZE rcvd: 44

Despite these changes (and dig supposedly showing that the lookup is OK), I get the following errors when the internet goes down and Asterisk does not function:

[2017-07-06 18:24:00] ERROR[2767] netsock2.c: getaddrinfo("MY-SIP-SERVER", "(null)", ...): Temporary failure in name resolution
[2017-07-06 18:24:00] WARNING[2767] acl.c: Unable to lookup 'MY-SIP-SERVER'
[2017-07-06 18:24:00] NOTICE[2767] chan_sip.c: -- Registration for 'MY-USERNAME@MY-SIP-SERVER' timed out, trying again (Attempt #4)

My question is, is there something I'm missing here? I'm scratching my head with this one - I do need Asterisk to work if the internet goes down as internal traffic is just as important as external.

Thank you

SNG7 OpenSSL Error

Hello,
i tested the new SNG7 Distro and i have some problems with openssl.

I have installed the Nginx from repository and tried to connect a phone with a valid SSL Client cert with the server.

Nginx has an error and the phone cannot get the config files:
ignoring stale global SSL error (SSL: error:0D0C50A1:asn1 encoding routines:ASN1_item_verify:unknown message digest algorithm) while waiting for request,

Config:
ssl on;
ssl_certificate /etc/httpd/pki/webserver.pem;
ssl_certificate_key /etc/httpd/pki/webserver.key;
ssl_client_certificate /etc/httpd/pki/yealink/ca.crt;
ssl_ciphers ALL:-RC4+SSLv2;
ssl_verify_client on;
ssl_verify_depth 2;

I use the same configs on a PBXACT UC60 Appliance and everything works.
I just copied the Nginx config files and certs from PKI folder to the new SNG7 Server.

Does anyone know how to solve this?
I tried updating curl, nginx and openssl but had no luck. The errors are still there.

hi, i noticed on the asterisk console that when an endpoint gets created, like this:

Added contact 'sips:123@1.1.1.1:56997;transport=TLS' to AOR '123' with expiration of 3600 seconds

an expiration of 3600 seconds is set. I understand this to mean that the session renegotiates every hour? if this is so, is the timeout setable and where?

thanks
i am using
pjsip endpoints

Installing SNG7-FPBX-64bit-1706-1 onto VMware or HyperV failing

I'm just wondering if anyone else having issues getting this latest release to install properly on an ESXi 6 or HyperV environment? 10.13.66-64bit release are all working perfectly for me on these same systems.

I'm getting a myriad of error messages on both console messaging and in the GUI when I attempt to login, all point to a failed install in my experience. Anyone else experiencing this or am I just the lucky one?

Hello,

I have many Extensions linked to Users.
Each User have photo in User Details - Contact Image.

It is possible to show this photo on sip-phone color screen as caller photo (with number and name)?
